Lecture on Security Governance of Cross-border Data Flow Held Online

Host by the Internet Society of China (ISC) and ICC China (Chamber of International Commerce), organized by ChinaIGF, the Security Governance of Cross-border Data Flow lecture held online on Sept.21, 2022.
Pei Wei, Deputy Secretary General of ISC, said that data has become a new factor of production, and data security has become the focus point of all sectors of the society. Recently, China has successively issued a number of laws, regulations, standards and specifications related to data security, and ISC has also started research and services in the field of data security. It is expected that both sides will continue to consolidate the foundation of cooperation and create a professional exchange platform for the industry.
The participants discussed issues such as cross-border data security assessment, classification of personal information and enterprise data, and the role of legal service institutions in maintaining data security. More than 300 member representatives from ISC and ICC China attended the lecture.
