On Aug 28, the Exchange Activity on "Data Security Governance and Development" of the China International Big Data Industry EXPO 2025 was held in Guiyang, Guizhou Province of China.

Opened from Aug 28-30, the China International Big Data Industry EXPO 2025 was hosted by the National Data Administration of P.R.China and organized by the People's Government of Guizhou Province. As one of the important activities of this Expo, the "Data Security Governance and Development" exchange event, was hosted by the Executive Committee of the China International Big Data Industry Expo, organized by the Internet Society of China (ISC), supported by the Data Security and Governance Working Committee of ISC, Guizhou Big Data Security Engineering Research Center, and Internet Society of Guizhou Province. High-level government officials, well-known experts and scholars, and industry leaders were invited to contribute their wisdom and jointly explore the path of high-quality data security development.

Huang Chengqing, Vice President of ISC and Director of the Data Security and Governance Working Committee of ISC, delivered a welcome remark. Liu Bochao, Deputy Director of the Cybersecurity Administration of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and Fu Tao, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Mayor of the Guiyang Municipal People's Government, delivered special remark for the event. In his speech, Huang Chengqing pointed out that the new-generation information technologies such as the big data, and artificial intelligence are accelerating iteration and deeply integrating and innovating with traditional fields, continuously shaping new driving force and advantages for development. At the same time, data security risks have also become a key issue concerning economic and social development. He stated that in recent years, the ISC has carried out many fruitful works in data security and governance: strengthening research on key issues, improving standard construction, building exchange platforms, cultivating talent teams, and promoting international cooperation.
