ISC Online Culture and New Media Working Committee established

On May 16th, 2015, the Internet and New Media Development Forum was held in Wuzhen, Zhejiang province. Hosted by the Internet Society of China (ISC) and the Internet and New Media Research Institute of Zhejiang University the Forum also witnessed the inauguration of ISC’s Online Culture and New Media Working Committee.
At the forum, Huang Chengqing, Vice President of ISC, gave an introduction to the development history of Internet in China, and elaborate his insights on the global Internet governance issues and put forward earnest expectation on the newly set up Committee.
Lu Wei, Secretary General of ISC, outlined five characteristics of current network culture and new media communication, hoping the working committee would focus on the research of online media governance and development.
